LDI Announces 2018 Law and Development Conference

The Law and Development Institute, Humboldt University Faculty of Law, and Walter de Gruyter are pleased to announce the 2018 Law and Development Conference, entitled “Law and Development: Theory and Practice†to be held in Humboldt University, Berlin (Faculty of Law
Room E 25, Unter den Linden 9, 10099 Berlin) on July 6 and 7, 2018.

The 2018 Conference is the ninth annual conference in law and development that the LDI co-hosts with leading universities and institutions around the world and the first to be held in Continental Europe. Seventeen leading scholars from North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America present papers over two days on the following sub-topics:

– The Current Status of Law and Development scholarship
– General Theory of Law and Development and Its Application
– Enhancement and Protection of Economic and Social Interests
– Development Governance and the Role of Development Agencies in the Development Process

The select conference papers will be published in the 2019 Special Issue of Law and Development Review.
